For De Houtloods in Tilburg, Ralf Gloudemans developed an interior design in which warmth, materiality and craft come together. The project brings Ralf’s digital-physical language into a hospitality context, where atmosphere, use and sculptural presence meet in one spatial experience.

Alongside the overall interior design, Ralf designed and developed several custom pieces for the restaurant, including the Off Round Tables, cutlery rests and MONOLITH lights. These objects are not treated as separate decorative additions, but as functional and sculptural elements that shape the rhythm, tactility and character of the space.

The project moves between interior, object and atmosphere. The tables create soft, irregular meeting points within the restaurant. The cutlery rests introduce a smaller gesture of use and detail at the table. The MONOLITH lights add a sculptural presence overhead, balancing function with a more autonomous material expression.

Together, these elements form an interior layer that feels warm, crafted and contemporary. Digital gestures are translated into physical objects that can be used, touched and encountered, while still carrying the traces of Ralf’s sculptural process.
