Elva is a small ceramic 3D-printed vase form within the ARTEFACTS series. The form stands on a broader, flat base and opens upward like a cup-like volume.

The two high arm-like shapes are not added separately, but merge with the body of the object. This gives Elva a bodily presence: compact, open and carrying, with a soft but upright posture. The visible layer structure emphasises the vertical growth of the form and makes the printing process part of the ceramic skin.

The name Elva is related to meanings around lightness, clarity and upright presence. It carries the image of a small form that opens, carries and remains softly but firmly upright.

Each version is unique because of the production method. Pressure, drying, firing and material behaviour leave subtle differences in every object.
