Talon is a ceramic 3D-printed candleholder form within the ARTEFACTS series. The form grows upward from a solid base into a broad, carrying upper structure that can hold multiple candles.

The object is printed upside down, making the surface that would normally form the underside of a 3D print visible at the top. The imprint of the print bed and the compressed rhythm of the lines are not hidden, but become part of the image. This creates a top surface in which production, pressure and material tension remain visible.

The spreading arms give Talon a grasping and carrying character. The name Talon refers to a claw, grip or grasping end. It carries a physical meaning of holding and lifting, evoking a form that does not only support, but actively grips, carries and elevates.

Each version is unique because of the production method. Pressure, drying, firing and material behaviour leave subtle differences in every object.
