Het Blauwe Gebouw is a ring developed by Ralf Gloudemans as a physical memory of the former blue building near Tilburg Central Station. The work refers to a recognizable piece of the city that has disappeared from the urban landscape, but continues to exist in local memory.

The project translates architecture into a small, wearable object. A blue glass tile becomes both material and reference: a fragment-like surface that recalls the colour, texture and presence of the original building. By placing this material within a digitally designed and 3D-printed stainless steel structure, the ring becomes a meeting point between urban memory, jewellery and digital craft.

Het Blauwe Gebouw does not recreate the building literally. Instead, it carries a trace of it. The object works as a compact monument: not public in scale, but intimate and bodily. It can be worn, held and passed on, allowing a piece of architectural memory to move through the city in another form.
